Venue
Yerevan, Armenia
Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a history stretching back over 2,800 years. The city is known for its unique blend of ancient culture and modern development, reflected in its vibrant streets, beautiful parks, and architectural landmarks. Republic Square, with its grand Soviet-era buildings and fountains, is a central hub where locals and tourists alike gather. Yerevan is also famous for its rich cultural scene, with numerous museums, theaters, and galleries, including the renowned History Museum of Armenia. The city’s vibrant café culture and lively nightlife make it a popular spot for both relaxation and socializing. With views of the majestic Mount Ararat visible on clear days, Yerevan offers a striking backdrop for those exploring the heart of Armenia.
In particular, the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory and its surrounding slopes of Mount Aragats, are an excellent destination for astronomy enthusiasts with clear night sky due to its high altitude and minimal light pollution. The observatory is the host of the CAP conference 2026.
Ani Plaza Hotel will be the main venue for the conference. It is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Yerevan, about 10-minutes walk away from many of the city’s highlights.
A detailed program with the meeting rooms for each session will be available closer to the CAP-2026 Conference.
