Astronomy is deeply embedded in many of the 300 or so aboriginal cultures across Australia. Current Australian astronomy is renowned for its internationally acclaimed research, its world-class facilities, its clear dark skies, and the passion of its astronomical community to promote astronomy for all. The city of Sydney and Macquarie University are thus proud to host the world’s largest conference on astronomy communication and welcome all the participants to it.
